The Deputy Director-General for Administration and Finance, Hon. Dahnu Mianyen, has initiated an unprecedented workplace module of assessing staff of various divisions and units of the Agency with concerns and recommendations in making the agency a better service provision entity for the civil servants and the country at large, under the subject ‘engagement to assess workplace comfort and challenges from the administrative viewpoint’.
According to Hon. Mianyen, the exercise “engagement to assess workplace comfort and challenges from an administrative viewpoint” is intended to solicit feedback from each office to assess their level of comfort and challenges faced in the execution of their respective duties.
“The feedback from this engagement will provide insights into how the administration will reposition itself ahead of the upcoming retreat that will lead to the development of the next 3-to-5-year strategic plan,” Hon. Mianyen asserted.
He, therefore, called on staff to express their views frankly but professionally as well as give recommendations for the forward match of the agency and the country by extension.
Hon. Dahnu Mianyen’s initiative is a significant step towards improving the working environment at the Civil Service Agency (CSA). By engaging with staff to understand their comfort and challenges, the administration aims to gather valuable feedback that will inform their strategic planning for the next 3 to 5 years. This approach not only fosters a more inclusive and responsive workplace but also sets the stage for enhanced productivity and peaceful coexistence within the agency.
The three-day exercise, which took place from August 15 to August 17, 2024, is designed to ensure that the administration can reposition itself effectively ahead of the upcoming leadership retreat. This retreat will be crucial for developing the next strategic plan, which will guide the agency’s efforts in serving civil servants and the country more effectively.
