As the Director-General of the Civil Service Agency of Liberia and Chairman of the Board of the President’s Young Professionals Program (PYPP), Josiah has consistently demonstrated strategic leadership and a commitment to excellence. With over 16 years of experience, he has been pivotal in advancing national security, education, elections, and democracy in Liberia. His notable positions, including Executive Director of the Liberia National Commission on Arms and Director of Civic and Voter Education at the National Elections Commission, highlight his governance and organizational development expertise. His career reflects a strong dedication to fostering positive change and driving results through innovative and creative thinking.
Josiah’s professional journey includes his role as Executive Programs Manager at the Connecticut Charter School Collective in the United States of America, where he effectively built strong partnerships and led community engagement efforts. His work in educational advocacy showcased his ability to promote the virtues of charter schools and form alliances with key stakeholders across the State. His tenure as a Customer Service Specialist at DMT Solutions Global Corporation also demonstrated his commitment to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction, earning him the prestigious 2022 ICARE Award. Josiah’s collaborative approach, innovative thinking, and resourcefulness have consistently driven success across diverse roles and sectors.
Currently conducting his dissertation for a Ph.D. in industrial-organizational psychology at Adler University in the United States, Josiah continues to expand his leadership and organizational development expertise. His academic background and extensive professional experience position him as a trailblazer in his field. Josiah’s unwavering dedication to democratic ideals, social justice, and excellence in service has earned him recognition and respect in Liberia and internationally. Josiah is happily married to Joana D. Joekai, and they are blessed with three boys: Meneenah, Ezekiel, and Barkolleh.
