Monrovia, Liberia – February 26, 2026 – As a continuous effort to strengthen human resource management across the public sector, the Civil Service Agency (CSA) officially presented Personnel and Credential Verification Reports to the Governance Commission (GC), the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), and the Ministry of Transport (MOT).

The reports were handed over during a ceremony held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, marking a significant step in ensuring data accuracy and workforce integrity within Liberia’s government institutions.

Speaking at the event, CSA Director-General Dr. Josiah F. Joekai Jr. reaffirmed the Agency’s unwavering commitment to support effective human resource policies, in line with its statutory mandate. He was keen to delineate the scope of the CSA’s role, emphasizing that its function is to support, not supersede, the operational work of other branches of government.

“We know our limits. We remain within the parameters of human resource management support, in keeping with established regulations, and we have just demonstrated that,” Dr. Joekai stated.

He extended his appreciation to the leadership of the three institutions for their cooperation, noting that their collaborative spirit reflects a unified government commitment to ensuring that public servants are efficient, effective, and productive.

The Governance Commission (GC) was represented by its Acting Chairman, Hon. Alaric Togba, along with other members of the Commission. Hon. Cooper Passawe, Assistant Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, received the report on behalf of his entity. Representing the Ministry of Transport was Hon. Archibald S. Abban, Deputy Minister for Administration and Insurance.

Accepting the reports on behalf of their respective institutions, the officials expressed gratitude to the CSA for its technical support and pledged their continued cooperation. They described the verification exercise as a vital initiative that will help meet the aspirations of the President, the government, and the Liberian people by bolstering performance and accountability across the public sector.

They collectively noted that the exercise represents an important step forward in strengthening the overall effectiveness of the public service.
