𝗖𝗦𝗔 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗜𝗣𝗔

Monrovia, Liberia – September 22, 2026:  The Civil Service Agency (CSA) is conducting a four-day personnel and credential verification exercise at the Headquarters of the Liberia Institute for Public Administration (LIPA) along the Roberts International Airport (RIA) Highway, Lower Margibi County.

Launched by the CSA on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the personnel and credential verification exercise seeks to strengthen personnel management, accountability, integrity, and efficiency within the public service, particularly at LIPA.

The initiative was launched by the Acting Director-General of the CSA, Hon. Edwin K. Jallah, who, in his opening remarks, emphasized the importance of accurate and credible personnel records for effective public sector management.

Hon. Jallah said the exercise is not just a routine administrative inspection but an institutional-strengthening intervention that will ensure LIPA’s personnel records are accurate, complete, current, and aligned with the public service requirements.

“This verification exercise will cover personnel files, employment and appointment records, academic and professional credentials, personnel status, and attendance and time records,” said Hon. Edwin K. Jallah

According to him, the CSA is not conducting the exercise in isolation, rather in close coordination with the Liberia Institute for Public Administration with the goal of establishing facts, validate records, identify gaps, and improve personnel administration.

For his part, LIPA Deputy Director General for Administration, Hon. Michael Wah, welcomed the CSA team and described the exercise as important for strengthening accountability, professionalism, and capacity within the institution.

Hon. Wah noted that personnel verification is particularly important for LIPA due to the huge responsibility the institution has to provide training and capacity development for different breed of Liberian public servants.

Providing an outline for the process, the Director of Credentials and Integrity Management Division at the Civil Service Agency, Mr. Alexander Bassey, said LIPA employees will first complete a consent form authorizing third-party verification of their academic and professional credentials before their personnel files are reviewed against an established checklist.

According to Mr. Bassey, the LIPA employees will also be given the opportunity to provide any missing document as part the flexible nature of the process.

The CSA’s broader goal is deliberate and focused on strengthening the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of personnel records across Liberia’s public service to form the basis for personnel management and future institutional decision-making.
