The Director-General of the Civil Service Agency (CSA), Hon. Josiah F. Joekai Jr., is urging the Public Administration Sectorial team to develop a unique and practical strategy for the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID).
According to the CSA boss, the development plans are very critical, adding that one should seek to strengthen institutional capacity and ensure service delivery at all levels of government functionaries to ensure the enhancement of transparency and accountability to service delivery.
“I want this committee to create an unusual strategy that is so practical and orthodox; it should be based on thinking, reasoning, and approach,” Hon. Joekai added.
The CSA boss spoke during the second meeting of the Public Administration Sectorial Engagement for the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
The ARREST Agenda is a comprehensive five-year plan that includes a national development plan, sector strategic goals, investment plans, and specific county development agendas for each of Liberia’s fifteen counties, launched by His Excellency President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., on July 18, 2024.
The team, which includes the Office of the Vice President, the National Legislature, the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, the General Services Agency, the Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs, and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Liberia Institute of Public Administration, the Liberia Institute of Statistics and Geo-Information Services, the Bureau of State Enterprise, the Mano River Union, the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, the Liberia Revenue Authority, the Board of Tax Appeals, the National Food Assistance Agency, and the host, the Civil Service Agency, earlier met on July 23, 2024.
