Joekai, Jr., has admonished parents to jealously guide the future of their children through discipline and unwavering commitment to their education.

According to Dr. Joekai, good parenting is not just about providing but embracing every responsibility that is required to make every child a national asset or treasure.
The CSA Director-General made the remarks on Saturday, July 4, 2026, when he delivered the keynote address at the Kindergarten II Graduation Ceremony of the Aware College of Professional Studies, located on GSA Road, Paynesville City, Montserrado County.
โ€œParents, our children are depending on us. These little boys and girls sitting before us have promising futures. The future of our families, communities, and nation depends on what we do for them today. We cannot fail them. We cannot neglect them. We cannot give up on them,โ€ Dr. Joekai asserted.
Dr. Josiah F. Joekai, Jr. said while it is true that some days children test the patience of their parents in ways never imagined, each parent or guardian must realize that those are testing moments and ingredients that come with raising children.
โ€œBut remember this: These children never asked to come into this world. We brought them here. It was our choice. It was our decision. It was our responsibility. And because it was our responsibility to bring them here, it remains our responsibility to guide them, support them, protect them, and educate them.โ€
He particularly urged parents and guardians of the graduates to continue investing in their education, growth, and future by following up on their homework, celebrating their successes, and encouraging them when they struggle.
โ€œKeep unnecessary anger away from them. When they make mistakes, teach them. When they fail, support them. When they succeed, celebrate them. Most importantly, make them feel loved. Talk to them. Listen to them. Encourage them and make them feel special.โ€
Dr. Joekai earlier addressed the graduates, cautioning them against complacency in their educational sojourn.
He reminded the Aware College of Professional Studies Kindergarten II graduates that they are only getting started in education; therefore, they must increase their thirst for knowledge if they want to support their parents and country.
The Civil Service Agency Director-General noted that the foundation built during these early years determines how strong the higher levels of learning will become for the graduates.
He told the graduates that after Early Childhood Development comes Basic Education, which includes elementary and junior secondary school, senior secondary school, Technical and Vocational Education and Training, commonly known as TVET, and finally college and university, in chronological order.
According to him, every one of those higher levels depends on the foundation being built today, for which everything put into these formative years must be significant for the future.
Dr. Josiah F. Joekai, Jr. thanked the administration of the Aware College of Professional Studies for molding the minds of the countryโ€™s next generation of leaders while promising his unflinching support to every undertaking of the school in the interest of Liberia.
